Project Details:
Period: August 2005 – June 2006
Project: Construction of 2 living platforms HA-KU-H and HA-ZAAP-C with capacity for 220 persons each in the Bay of Campeche, Mexico
Service: Project monitoring and manufacturing surveys to assure the smooth construction and completion of the project.
Client: BBVA BANCOMER, Mexico
Background
The main objectives of the SGS service was to assure that the construction company was complying with the quality, time and cost outlined in their contractual obligations. Documentary reviews and technical inspections were performed at the construction and manufacturing premises in Tampico, Mexico, Corpus Christy, USA and Gothenburg, Sweden.
Scope of Service
The service was performed based on documentary reviews and site visits, including the following elements:
- Review of project progress: time, quality and cost
- Review of permits and licenses/authorizations
- Monitoring of contractual events: contract suspension, penalties, etc
- Manufacturing survey and supervision
- Quality assurance, review of audit reports and follow up of non conformities
- Financial review (monthly invoices, financial progress and analysis of variations, compliance of financing clauses, others)
- Monthly reporting with photographical annex indicating the correct application of the financial resources lent
